For the hop today, I've created .......Kiddie Valentines

My son's pre-K class like to send goodies home every holiday. I filled up some heart covered plastic cups with candy and wrapped them in a celo gift bag. All gift bags need a tag right? I created the tags to double as the valentines my son is going to hand out. There are 6 boys and two girls in his class so I created one for the boys and one for the girls.

The card and mat on the front were cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. I used the scrap from the mat cut and a circle punch to spruce up the inside.

The Butterfly and the Dinosaur were cut from the Birthday Cakes cartridge. The saying in side the Boys card was cut from the Birthday cakes cartridge. The sentiment inside the girls card is a stamp from the dollar bin at ACMoore.

Thank you again for checking out my project... Now hop to the next stop: Kimberly

For the hop today, I've created ....... a Rosette Door Hanger.
Everything was cut with my Expression 2.
The Rosette is cut at 6.6 from the Rosettes and Ribbons cartridge. I cut 3 in the red cardstock and 3 in the blue with red polka dots paper. I attached them end to end and then glued it to a circle punch with hot glue.
Then I cut the Be My Valentine at 5.0 from the Spring Fever cartridge. I created it's shadow background using my Gypsy.
I hung x's and o's cut from Spring fever at 2.5 on some bakers twine. The x's and o's are dipped in glitter.
at the very top you will see some crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam.

LMCB #72 Challenge- "A Real Treat"

A recipe challenge BUT not your typical recipe, a real one! Stacia from the design team is sponsoring this challenge. Make sure to check out her blog and show her some scrappy love.

Fo's Cookie Bake Off was grandma's brain child. She wanted to watch Foster ( sometimes called Fo Fo) bake and decorate cookies. The cookies he baked and decorated were sugar cookies but they were of the ready made dough version. So this was a slice and bake job. LOL. The recipe on this layout is the one I use when I bake the family christmas cookies.

I really had a blast with this layout. The paper is from stack 7 I bought at JoAnnes. The black border is a Marth Stewart punch that I just bought. The recipe card came from the dollar bins at Michaels and it is what I based my color scheme on. I added a button with some bakers twine to it. I  cut the chefs hat, rolling pin and spoons from the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge with a little help from Gypsy.

Come join our challenge over at Lasting Memories Challenge Blog.

Happy New Year - Lasting Memories Challenge Blog

Make sure you visit Lasting Memories Challenge Blog to see all the wonderful layouts. This challenge was really tough for me. The first option would have been to scrap photos of how you celebrated New Years. I took no pictures of my New Years day party so that was not an option. The second option was to scrap you resolutions. I don't make resolutions so I was at a loss.

I sat back and decided to list the things I want to work on this year.

The first is my health. I have a VERY active 3 1/2 year old son that I need to keep up with. This is the year I am going to get into shape and get to a much healthier weight.

The second thing I want to do is to get Microsoft certified for the work that I have been doing for the past 15 years. Now a days employers need paper to say you are capable before they hire you. It is time to make myself more marketable.

The third thing I will do this year is spend more QUALITY time with my family. I want to concentrate on making memories for my son.

I hope you like my layout even though I am not to sure I do. :)

LMCB - Getting To Know You Challenge

This is my first post as a design team member at Lasting Memories Challenge Blog. Please check out the challenge and meet the design team. While you are there, link up a layout about you.

Okay so I can't believe how hard it was to come up with a layout about myself. I have so many interests and loves in my life. So I chose the ones that are the nearest and dearest to me. Here are some facts about me.

  • My name is Jennasa.
  • I am 39 years old.
  • I have one son and a dog.
  • My husband and I have known each other for 20 years and married for 7.
  • I am a Network Engineer so I guess you can say I am a computer geek.
  • My favorite color is Green.
  • Favorite holiday is Christmas.
  • I love balloons on my birthday.
  • My favorite place on earth is Disney world.
  • Pasta is my weakness.

If you leave me a comment, please tell me something about you. :)

Now here is my layout.

This layout is also entered into the current challenge at The Paper Variety

Christmas 2009

This layout was created for the challenge at the Lasting Moments DT call even though I dubmitted another.
This layout showcases my collage style.

Christmas 2008

I created this layout for the DT Call Challenge at Lasting Memories. Their picture inspired me to get a shot that was taken in front of my tree.

This layout shows my style when I am showcasing one photo. I used the Cricut Cartridges Fancy Frames and Winter Wonderland.

The Frame was embossed using the Sizzix and a Sizzix texture plate.

This second shot shows the texture of the frame better. I also inked the texture using gold ink from Martha Stewart.

First project of 2012

I created this stand up table topper for my centerpiece at dinner today.
I used my Gypsy with the Simply Charmed Cartridge. I enlarged just the width of the champagne bottle. The 2012 was welded from Gypsy font at 2". I cut the shadow and then the font twice once in black patterned paper and once in glittered white card stock. It is attached to the bottle with pop dots.
I duplicated everything so it can be two sided then I put the pieces together using squares I created free hand. It will stand alone but I put a decorated weight from the dollar store in between it.

This project is linked at the following challenges.
